My Students

I teach 2rd graders who are full of life and excitement. They come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, including low-income households, and from places all around the world.

My students love learning, discovering, experimenting, and creating.

We are a part of a school that encourages students to innovate and investigate the world around them. These characteristics are enhanced by the stories they read, the science they explore, and the math they calculate.

No matter their differences, my students all have one thing in common: they love to learn. They enjoy discovering new things, exploring the world around them, and making people happy. I love it when they are proud of their accomplishments. I hope to support them in that curiosity!

My Project

As a class we are constantly shifting between direct, whole group instruction, and small groups. I continually use my white board to show examples to increase student understanding. With these giant magnetic resources, students will be able to see these examples much clearly, as well as use them themselves in both of these situations.

Hands on materials makes learning much more engaging, especially when they are huge!

I am hoping to use these math and language materials to boost engagement and understanding in fun new ways. My students would be thrilled to work with these amazing resources every day!
