Just as a ship's anchor holds a ship in place, an anchor chart holds students' and teachers' thoughts and ideas in place. These tools are used to support instruction. As I teach a lesson, my students and I collaboratively create a chart that captures the most important content and relevant strategies. The anchor charts are displayed throughout the classroom to remind students of prior learning and help them make connections as new learning happens.

The requested materials will allow for us to magnetically hang out co-created anchor charts in our classroom on our magnetic chalkboard and allow students to frequently refer back to prior learning.
