This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kids want to be part of the lessons they are learning. A magnetic whiteboard in our classroom will give my students multiple ways to immerse themselves in all aspects of our day. We can use visuals with magnets to display important information like schedules, materials needed for lessons, and calendars that are easily accessible for the children to switch out when needed. The whiteboard can also be used as a projection board, to stick manipulatives such as ten frames, or for good old fashion writing.
This magnetic whiteboard will be the centerpiece of our classroom and an integral part of all our lessons.
Maintaining student engagement takes a little creativity on the teacher's part and I have no doubt this board will make it easier for me to achieve that.
