My students this year have been such a joy to teach. They are excited about learning, and every day is a new adventure with them. While they are a delightful group of students, many of them have a lack of experiences with reading and print. This means that many of them have some gaps in their learning that must be filled at school.
Magnetic letters are a great way to provide a tangible way for students to learn how to read and write.
We use magnetic letters to learn how to build words. Reading can be very abstract to students who have not been exposed to written text. The students connect reading and writing to the letters and the sounds easier with a concrete foundation of using magnetic letters.
While I have enough for a small group of students, I would like to have a set of magnetic letters to use with the whole group of students so that this resource is easily accessible to them.
