This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Transitional Kindergarten students come to school with a wide array of skills and knowledge. Some of them have attended preschool or daycare, and others have been at home. We are a diverse school with students coming to us from many different backgrounds and experiences.

My students are active learners and curious about the world around them.

They love learning in a variety of ways, including using technology, hands-on learning, and STEM activities. Because they come to Transitional Kindergarten with a broad spectrum of learning experiences and background knowledge, it is important to meet their many diverse needs.

My Project

My young students love learning in a variety of ways including hands-on learning. Because they come to Transitional Kindergarten with a broad spectrum of learning experiences and background knowledge, it is important to meet their many diverse needs. In my Transitional Kindergarten classroom, we are busy learning all day. My students are young (just four years old) and very curious. As their teacher, it is my responsibility to foster their learning in creative ways. Using magnetic building kits, my students will be able to play and build for hours. They will have the opportunity to build shapes, buildings, and other structures using these magnetic tiles. My students will love it!
