My students need three sets of Magnatiles to use during center time. The Magnatiles are so engaging and enticing to young builders. They teach them how to build structures using different shapes.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a group of 25 energetic and happy students that are ready for Kindergarten everyday! They cannot wait to listen to our favorite stories, learn new songs and make new friends. My students are all 5 years old when they start school and for many of them this is their first educational experience. I want it to be Epic!
Our school is set in a beautiful Mexican neighborhood in Chicago with lots of culture.
It is also a high poverty neighborhood with many parents that spend most of their time working to make ends meet. Kids are excited to come to our school because we provide the structure as well as the experiences that they need to make learning meaningful to them.
My Project
Magnatiles teach young learners to build and be creative! I want to provide my students with materials that will allow them to use their creativity while they learn how to problem solve and share.
Magnatiles create future architects, artists and designers!
Young children are so attracted to Magnatiles and can work cooperatively for hours on end. To them it seems like play but they are learning so many skills needed to be a team player and a creative thinker.
