This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are young and eager to build with magnetic tiles. We have a small set they share during group time, but they always run out of tiles! They learn so much about geometry and colors as they build.
Young students need manipulatives like this to explore!
They are learning how to build structures, figure out symmetry, and balance taller structures. They are learning to develop independently and cooperatively with their classmates. They know shapes and the different sizes of objects. Preschoolers should have frequent opportunities to learn valuable skills in a fun way!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
