Magical Seats: Stools And Classroom Carpet For Active First Graders
My students need a color block carpet so they each have their own spot at morning meeting, and Hokki Stools would come in handy during guided reading!

My Students
I am a first grade teacher in Boston. My first grade inclusion students come to school eager to learn, but are facing many challenges.
Six of my eighteen students have IEPs and unfortunately, two of my scholars are currently homeless.
All of my students receive a reduced-price lunch. These students are amazing young individuals and hard workers, but our budget is limited and we require funding for basic tools to help them succeed. Please consider funding our project to help out some great kids.
My Project
The color block carpet will allow my students to have their own spot during morning meeting, number talks and time spent at our carpet. It will eliminate time spent discussing personal space since it will allow students to pick their space and stay seated!
As I said before, this project will allow my students the opportunity to sit independently.
My first graders are super active learners, in need of seating that also allows them to wiggle and move, yet still learn and participate during guided reading and interventions. These Hokki Stools are just the tool to help them rock and roll while reading and learning!
