Magical Reading Adventures for 4th Graders!

My Students

When I step in front of my classroom at the beginning of the day and look at my students, I know that a great day awaits me. My students greet me with smiles, questions, and eager faces; they are ready to learn, and I am ready to teach them all that I can.

My students are incredible, curious, adept, and capable learners.

My students speak different languages (over 19 languages at our school) and all have tremendous talent to share with each other. My students jump into their daily learning with zeal. They work together, laugh together, learn together, and share everything in their classroom community.

My Project

All Aboard the Hogwarts Express! Students in my 4th grade class are ready to read about the fantastical adventures of "The Boy Who Lived!" My students are looking forward to pairing up in reading time and grabbing a copy of the famous Harry Potter Book series! As well as diving into excellent writing, they will get to see magnificent illustrations in a special edition of the first book!

With their imaginations eager and ready, students will learn about what school is like for wizards and witches at Hogwarts, learn about character development and story elements, all while following the incredible story of Harry Potter!

With multiple sets of these books, all of my students in my class will be able to follow Harry's journey from Book 1 all the way to Book 7 in reading pairs. Students will create character dossiers, book reports and posters. They will learn about book elements such as plot, characters, and setting! Please help us jump into magical reading adventures this year with the Harry Potter book series for our class!
