Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At the beginning of the year, our school invited each grade level to “adopt” a country and integrate it into the curriculum and classroom environment. First grade chose Peru, not only because of its fascinating culture and geography, but also because the Inca civilization is already an important part of our curriculum. Throughout the year, our students have explored the many wonders of Peru. To wrap up our journey, we would love to present the movie “Paddington in Peru”, an engaging and heartwarming animated film that brings Peru to life in a way that’s accessible, fun, and full of imagination.

This special Movie Day isn’t just about entertainment, it’s about creating a meaningful connection between what students have learned and how they experience the world around them.

We want them to feel as if they’ve stepped into a real movie theater, with all the sights, sounds, and excitement of a big screen adventure. Our goal is to give them an experience they’ll always remember, one that celebrates both learning and joy.

To make this happen, we need movie decorations, goodie bags, and Paddington stickers. Your contribution will help us turn this day into something truly magical for our students.
