My Students
I teach 15 Kindergarten students, the majority of which are ESE students. These students require more hands the materials and techniques in order to meet their needs . The local stores donate food, as well school supplies at the beginning of the school year in order to help families provide for their children, but more is needed. The majority of the ESE students have Speech and Language disabilities and other students are given tier 2 interventions in order to meet their daily needs. I need classroom supplies to help teach them on a daily basis.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students everyday learning by providing them with high interest materials to use in math centers. These materials will make their learning fun and exciting. It will also be much easier for me to differentiate my mathematics instruction through the use of these material. The opportunities that the students are going to be given when my project is funded will be hands on. They was also be given opportunities to work in small ability groups on individual skills according to their needs. The pattern block design cards, wooden pattern blocks, geoboards, and build a number houses will give them many opportunities to explore the properties of shapes, symmetry, patterning, and problem solving. The magnetic learning numbers will help the students that having difficulty learning number formation. I am excited to given them this wonderful opportunity to learn though fun.
