This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my class seems very eager to learn! Kindergarteners learn best when they are involved hands-on with building materials like Magna-Tiles and magnetic pattern block builders. The different math tools that I have chosen will help my students grasp concepts concretely.

Ten frames are a great visual tool to teach counting, addition, and subtraction.

The ten frames I have chosen are magnetic and will help students keep track of their materials since they will be secure with the magnets.

The counting rods will double as fine motor skill practice as well as a one-to-one correspondence tool!

Thank you for the opportunity to help my kinder class get excited about learning math!
