it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very special, kindergarteners in a high needs area of a borough in New York. Each student is unique in his or her own way and deserves to have the best educational experience possible. Most of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch and come to school every day eager to learn.
Unfortunately, my classroom does not always have the supplies we need.
Every donation makes a difference in my students' lives. I look forward to creating projects that will make our classroom a joyful learning environment. Thank you!
My Project
As we embark on the next school year and have to figure out different ways to make sure that all of our scholars are engaged while learning at home, it is important that we provide our kids with fun, engaging materials to excite them about learning! The materials that I am requesting will help create at-home math kits that I will be sending to my students so they can have hands-on counters to use during math lessons.
Teaching kindergarten students online has its challenges but it can also be fun and these counting materials will really help bring our math lessons to life, even virtually!
I am dedicated towards ensuring that my students grow as mathematicians this year and they love hands-on materials to help improve their skills. The counters, ten frame boards, and rekenrek will help bring our math lessons to life and they can continue practicing at home with these counters even after their online classes!
