This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As fourth graders, my students have a lot of progress to make in the short amount of time before middle school. This year in my classroom, 14 of my 22 students are testing at grades K-1 in reading. Thirteen of these students are also English Language Learners (ELLs), 7 of them moving to the U.S. within the last 6 months. Of course, that is one tall order and will take a lot of engagement and motivation from my students!
By donating to this project, you will help my readers reach their goals and make progress along their literacy journey by making literacy and learning to read more engaging and fun!
Through use of manipulatives, gamification of tasks, centers, and essential materials for learning, my students will be capable of making so much progress on their way to 5th grade!
