Magical Classroom Carpet

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 25 of the most caring, creative and intelligent first graders in Ohio. Our class consists of students from Delaware, Ohio who come to school every day ready to learn and utilize technology to help them surpass their goals.

These students are challenged each day with high expectations and differentiated instruction to help meet their individual needs.

My classroom consists of both gifted learners and regular education students. Either way, everything we do in our classroom is completed with the help of stations to make sure students are with peers who possess similar learning needs.

My Project

I just moved to Ohio and am missing a vital piece of classroom decoration, the carpet. I have had one provided for me in my last school, but do not have one in my current placement. This is something I did not think of when moving, but realized how integral it is to make a classroom feel much more welcoming and "homey." I am asking for a classroom rug that our class can use to come together and have morning meetings, classroom discussion and complete other parts of whole group instruction throughout the day. Without a carpet, it just feels very industrial inside these walls.
