My Project

My students are full of imagination and creativity, and they are naturally drawn to stories filled with adventure, magic, and characters they can connect with. However, many of them are still developing confidence as readers, and they need books that truly capture their interest in order to stay engaged and grow.

I am requesting a collection of high-interest Branches books from the Unicorn Diaries series—stories filled with friendship, problem-solving, and magical adventures.

These books are specifically designed for developing readers, with approachable text, engaging illustrations, and storylines that encourage students to keep reading from one book to the next. Because they are part of a series, students are more likely to continue reading, building stamina and confidence with each book.

These stories do more than entertain—they create a bridge for students who may feel unsure about reading. When students find books they love, they begin to read longer, talk about stories with their peers, and see themselves as successful readers. The magic in these books becomes a tool for real growth, helping students strengthen comprehension, fluency, and a love of reading.

With these books in our classroom, reading will become something students look forward to each day. They will eagerly reach for the next book in the series, excited to see what happens next. These are the moments that help transform students from reluctant readers into confident, enthusiastic ones.
