Magic Moments with Magnet Mazes

Help me give my students magnetic mazes and puzzles to help learn basic concepts and taking turns.

My Students

I teach social skills to special education preschool students. My students are from 3 to 5 years old and super adorable. They all have the innate desire to form meaningful relationships and need a little boost to help them get there. For keeping them engaged, novelty is key. Students need to have a rotation of materials to keep things fresh.

The students that I work with are developing the skills that form the foundation to help them build meaningful relationships with their peers.

My students need help learning how to do the following things: wait their turn, share toys, pass items to a friend, have appropriate physical contact with peers, and use play language such as "my turn" and "your turn."

My Project

These will be used to help teach basic skills for preschool children in a way that is fun and engaging. Because these materials are a little pricey, likely they are not the types of toys that a student will have already had at home and this means that they will be novel toys that are enjoyed only in the classroom which will help to pique the interest of the children.

I can use these magnet color maze and shape maze boards in social skills therapy groups as students can take turns playing with them.

The students will learn important skills like impulse control and waiting when they see others using these fun games.
