Help me give my students a magic carpet ride in the library with one large and one small carpet for story time.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our small public school is located on the west side of Chicago. Our students radiate with the vibrancy of the city of big shoulders. Enthusiastic readers, I am often stopped in the hallway with reports of enjoyment for the books they've checked out or requests to know when their next library day is because they can hardly wait to get a new book.
My students love reading!
From the ages of 4 to 14 they find "just right" books and let their imaginations soar. They are excited to come to the library at least once a week, spend time browsing the collection, listening to stories and bringing books home to enjoy.
My Project
Students love sitting together with their librarian and enjoying story time. Sadly there is no central carpet to sit on and the chairs and tables make it difficult to get cozy and close enough to see the illustrations, which are oh, so important in the books. One large and one small area carpet will be great additions to the school library.
Carpets will work like magic in helping imaginations soar while students sit together and enjoy the excitement of story time.
Currently, students use small towels to sit together, but they are poor substitutes for quality carpets that add not only dimension to the space, but also liven up the room making it more inviting and delightful, a simple way of connecting reading with comfort and happiness.
