This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Flying, magic carpet needed. Our music takes us away to places dreams are made of, but we sit on a cold floor which takes away from the journey. Help us to complete our journey in comfort.
The children at my school are gifted and talented in fine arts, but impoverished.
They receive the highest level of education an inner city school can provide. Their parents are dedicated to their education, but work two jobs just for the basics. We are starting to receive funding for after school activities and tutorials, but it is in the beginning phase.
My Project
A comfortable seating arrangement in the classroom is the first step in learning. However, my carpet squares are over 11 years old and worn. New carpet will allow them to sit comfortably and pay attention. The bright color will enhance the atmosphere in the room as well.
Finally, the warmth and beauty music brings us will be enduring and remembered along with your kindness in providing a bright colorful area to sit on and learn.
