This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Let's take a ride on the dragon’s magic carpet! My students will discover the world around them through the power of books. They will be inspired by real and "make-believable" places as they engage in nonfiction and fiction titles.

When visiting the library, they will leave with new knowledge, engage in rich language and vocabulary experiences, and explore different topics, people, places, cultures, and genres.

As students read for pleasure, their background knowledge and vocabulary will expand. With this carpet, my students will foster a deeper love for reading.
