This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have had the pleasure of teaching yoga to a group of intermediate students after school. They have grown so much in their discipline, flexibility and range of poses.

My students are so excited to be challenged, especially by balance poses but we have minimal equipment provided by the school.

By adding yoga blocks to our practice, I could include a wider range of poses. Yoga blocks allow students to support their balance poses and explore a deeper range of motion. Yoga blocks also support confidence in difficult flexibility poses.
