I have the most amazing and wonderful Kindergartners. My students come from very low income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school. Many of my students come to school in dirty clothes, clothes that don't fit, or what they wore the day before.
My students come to school every day excited to learn reading and math.
They are like sponges and I want to provide them with all the tools they will need to be successful.
My Project
STEM is a hot topic right now in education, but how can Kindergartners do it? STEM is a lot of exploring, testing, observing, and doing. STEM projects are meant to excite and encourage kids. Kids are naturally inquisitive. STEM activities help support their natural curiosity. Magnaformers will allow students to use the materials to build different creations, explore how the pieces will fit together, observe how their creations will hold up, and give them the ability to motify and change their creations if needed.
My students will also be able to work on sharing and working in cooperative groups while using the Magnaformer STEM Set.
