Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is an inner city Title I school, kindergarten through grade six. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Having grown up in this community really helps me understand where my students are coming from.

Physical Education is the most exciting class in elementary school!

I was lucky to have taught students in a district where equipment wasn't an issue. The students at those schools loved physical education because their teachers had the equipment to bring new activities to them each class. I want to give my students the same experience!

My Project

As of right now our equipment room is a mess and we have a tiny area to store the equipment we do have. The storage bags I found here have giant holes in them so I cannot use them to store anything.

Baseball season is approaching!

My students keep asking for a baseball unit which I would love to do. The current set of bases we have slide all over the floor and I am worried someone will get hurt by using them. These throw-down bases will assure that no one will slip during game play.

My younger students would really benefit from playing throwing and catching games with a smaller object. The 2.25 inch gator skin ball is not only safe but allows for my students to hold the ball with one hand to practice throwing!
