My students need a color printer for our classroom to print out assignments and projects because many do not have printers at home. These posters will also brighten up our classroom with a nice scientific environment.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a new teacher with a major in Elementary Education, I began my first year of teaching as a Middle School Science teacher thinking what was I getting myself into. The very first day I met my students, I knew I made the right choice.
Regardless of our limited resources, my students have a passion and love for Science that pushes even myself on my 'off days'.
This motivation of theirs' gives me the encouragement I need from time to time to go above and beyond for them. Having the resources needed to provide them with the Science Education they deserve is what this is all about.
My Project
This color printer will help provide students with the opportunity to be able to print out any needed work for homework or projects. Many do not have printers at home and therefore, that limits the chance for them to fully do what they really want to do. For example, creating a travel brochure about a specific era and including bright, vibrate color pictures that illustrate that time period and show the readers what that period was like is much more appealing than a black and white brochure.
Creating the right classroom environment, sets up the mood for a focused, educational and fun atmosphere to motivate the students when they enter the classroom.
These posters will be used to make our classroom much more appealing and give the students the motivation they need and deserve.
The extra ink will help when the time comes in which they will be needed further in the school year when the initial inks run out. The vocabulary words will also greatly benefit the students when we are on that specific topic. They will have a visual aid of the words to help them with their comprehension.
