Mad Scientists at Work!

My students need hands on science time to bring science to life!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wile's classroom raised $659

My Students

I teach in a Title I school. The majority of my students are from low-income backgrounds. Every student in our school receives free breakfast and free lunch due to the overall poverty in our area. My students come from diverse educational and literacy experiences. For most of my students, my classroom provides their first educational experience.

Experiences in kindergarten provide the building blocks for a successful educational career!

Funding for tools in our school has been limited due to the impacts of Hurricane Irma. These students are eager to learn and ready to blossom into lifelong learners! I am searching to provide those tools for my students!

My Project

Science is such a fun subject to teach young children! It lends itself to exploration and questioning which is exactly where kindergartners live!

Young children are instinctively curious and these hands on science tools will inspire them to explore independently!

Early childhood is the time to get students excited about science and the world around them. The science tools I am asking for will allow my students to independently explore in a safe environment while having fun. The child-friendly Geosafari talking microscope and Zoomy 2.0 will enable my students to view magnified insects and other objects. Magnets are fascinating to young children as they learn about the properties of force. All of these STEM activities will help to make scientific concepts understandable to young children. Science is fascinating and I truly enjoy teaching this subject to young children. I am excited to introduce these tools to them and let their imagination and exploration begin!
