My classroom is a very hands on group of students. They are a low performing group of students that need all the extra guidance and tools to assist them in their learning. I want to provide my students with as many enriching opportunities as possible. I believe an iPad Mini will help do that.
My 2nd grade students come to me with many challenges.
They are diverse in their ethnicity and their educational needs; including ELL (English Language Learners) and special education students receiving resource room assistance and speech. Our school is high poverty and located in a small rural community. My students are excited to learn and love to use technology. Unfortunately, many homes in our community do not have a computer or are without Internet service. It is imperative that I create a safe and comfortable learning environment in which my students can flourish and achieve a high level of academic success. The iPad mini is a tool that will engage my students and allows them to create and collaborate while mastering the Common Core Standards.
My Project
I am requesting 1 iPad mini with a case to help reinforce math and reading skills in my classroom. There are hundreds of apps that my students will be able to use to reinforce the Common Core State Standards that are very engaging. In addition, the iPad will help my students learn to use technology. An iPad in our classroom provides limitless learning opportunities for my students.
An iPad Mini would enhance my students learning in both reading and math.
It will help meet the needs of all learners in my classroom and engage them in both math and reading concepts being taught. My students enjoy learning, creating, and collaborating and with the help of an iPad mini, they are able to do all of this and more!
