Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In the past, I have taken it upon myself to purchase with my own money various educational apps such as Brainpop, Cool Math Games, and Starfall which teach reading, literacy, and math in a fun way.
With the addition of a MacBook, students would work in groups of three to four to master basic math and reading skills independently.
I can also teach the lessons and will be able to display them in class with the use of the MacBook.
To keep our students and our classroom moving and up to date, we need to update our MacBook.
Technology is continually changing. We are lucky enough to have a new BenQ board in our classroom. To be compatible and keep our learning up-to-date and interactive, this MacBook will let us continue to use programs such as Nearpod, Jamboard, Xtramath.org, and Mystery Science. Our students love interactive technology; it keeps them accountable and makes learning fun.
