This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our LVPHS music program has grown from a simple piano class to developing performing student musicians. Our music program now offers guitar and choir classes in continuous program development. Our LVPHS student musicians are having more real world music industry experiences with regularly scheduled live performances during and after school hours.
Our high school site is an alternative-continuation modeled school.
Our school site was not designed to have a music room, let alone have the space and resources to hold a music program. Our donation request assists with basic essential needs like piano notes guides, microphones, and binders to sustain our music program. Anything will help our music program and is greatly appreciated.
