Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students attend a District 75 school in the Bronx, NY. They are incredible, unique learners with special needs who benefit greatly from hands-on, structured activities. I love how curious, resilient, and full of potential they are.
During lunch and indoor recess, many of my students struggle with boredom due to limited engaging options.
By providing them with manipulatives and educational games, I can offer them meaningful, enjoyable ways to build social skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities—all through play. These resources will help make unstructured time a fun, learning-rich experience they look forward to each day.
