My Project
Middle schoolers can greatly benefit from having board games and cards available for indoor recess during lunchtime. This age group is at a crucial stage of development, and providing engaging activities can positively impact their social and cognitive skills. Board games encourage teamwork, strategic thinking, and problem-solving, fostering a sense of camaraderie among students. These activities also offer a break from technology, promoting face-to-face interactions and communication.
Moreover, indoor recess can be a challenging time for middle schoolers, especially during inclement weather.
Board games and cards provide an outlet for creativity and self-expression, allowing students to unwind and recharge for the remainder of the school day. In addition to the educational benefits, these games can contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, as students from various backgrounds come together to enjoy shared experiences. Overall, introducing board games and cards into middle school lunch recess can enhance the students’ overall well-being and contribute to a more vibrant and supportive school environment.
