This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Lunar New Year is a time of joy, culture, and connection—a perfect moment to inspire my students to celebrate and explore the richness of traditions. Our classroom is preparing for a Lunar New Year celebration, and a camera would be the ideal tool to help my students document and share their experiences.
With a camera, my students can photograph festive classroom decorations, document activities like crafting red envelopes or learning about the zodiac, and create lasting memories of this special celebration.
This resource will also allow students to dive into photography and storytelling, developing skills that will serve them well in a digital world.
Beyond Lunar New Year, the camera will continue to enrich our classroom by capturing projects, performances, and everyday learning moments. Your generosity will give my students a way to preserve their achievements, explore their creativity, and share their voices with the community. Let’s give them the tools to see the world through a new lens!
