My Project
Creating an immersive VR experience for teaching about the Chinese Lunar New Year (CNY) using the Meta Quest would be a fantastic way to engage users in learning about this rich cultural celebration. My students can step into a virtual world and explore an animated, immersive environment that explains the history and significance of Chinese New Year. This could include a journey through time, where the user learns about its origins, the lunar calendar, and the customs tied to the holiday.
My students will use voice-over to guide users through the various elements of the celebration, with a narrator or even a “cultural guide” to explain the symbolism behind each tradition.
Finally the VR will take my kids to different regions of China, where they can explore how the Chinese New Year is celebrated in various places like Beijing, Xi’An, or Shanghai. They can see different cultural rituals, foods, and customs from various provinces and cities.
