This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I love creating a positive and culturally inclusive environment that motivates students to learn and grow. This year, I’m requesting incentives like candy treats and fun rubber ducks to reward good behavior, and I plan to incorporate these rewards into our celebration of the Lunar New Year!

Candy, a symbol of sweetness and happiness in Lunar New Year traditions, will be used to recognize students who show kindness, meet goals, and stay on task.

Rubber ducks will serve as fun, long-term rewards, bringing smiles and symbolizing good fortune as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon (or current zodiac year).

By tying these rewards to Lunar New Year traditions, I hope to teach students about this vibrant holiday while reinforcing positive behavior. Your support will help make this a meaningful celebration and foster a classroom culture of respect, achievement, and joy. Thank you for helping us create lasting memories!
