My Students

My students are absolutely AMAZING and I miss them fiercely! We closed school suddenly on March 13th. We didn't expect it and we believed we would have a bit more time with our kids.

Unfortunately, we didn't have more time, and we have been working to serve our students from home.

What has been most difficult, however, is that my students don't have access to technology, internet or learning tools at home, which has significantly limited the learning opportunities I can provide during this coronavirus pandemic.

My Project

Most of my students don't have the learning tools at home that they need. With all of our learning being done virtually and at home, due to the coronavirus epidemic, my students and their learning are at a disadvantage. My goal is to provide the same hands-on activities for my students, even though we cannot be together.

Books, games that support turn-taking skills such as Memory, art supplies such as watercolors, paint pads, crayons, and supplies to make self-regulation tools, will all help my students keep up their skills as well as support their social and emotional well-being.

My students are all learners with special needs and need their learning to be provided in a hands-on way with memorable experiences. These tools will ensure that I can provide amazing learning experiences even when I can only see them through technology or on the phone.
