Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning and loving one's heritage can be an incredibly enriching and fulfilling experience for students. While it can be challenging to connect with a culture that may feel distant or unfamiliar, the process of exploring and embracing one's heritage can bring a sense of pride, belonging, and connection to something greater than oneself. Decorating materials are an essential part of every culture. In each culture, the materials used for decoration reflect the beliefs, values, and traditions that are unique to that culture. When students learn about the materials used to decorate different cultures, they gain a deeper understanding of those cultures, and they become more sensitive and empathetic towards people from diverse backgrounds. The speaker and microphone will help us celebrate with music and stories. Please help us make this happen.
