This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are smart, creative, and hardworking individuals. Our students are very special to us and deserve the best. They are superstars and excel every day with smiles on their faces.

Science is a very important subject but is under-studied in most school districts.

We lack the materials needed to have successful and meaningful art classes properly supplied.

Our students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

All of our students love learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

They are truly an incredible group, and we are lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

My students struggle with science vocabulary and concepts. They need to be able to read about the concepts independently at their reading level.

They crave knowledge and have many questions during class discussions.

They respond best to small group interaction with science materials at their ability levels.

I have requested science posters to increase my students' science vocabulary. This project will give my students confidence and ownership in their own learning by supplying them with the necessary reading materials at their reading level. They will experience success in achieving the skills necessary for tackling the science concepts using science posters.

My students long for the opportunity to understand general science concepts. This project will provide them the opportunity to immerse themselves in science vocabulary and concepts, along with the chance to examine the concepts in detail at their own ability level.
