This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love when students can fall in love with reading and their own learning. I would love to get them books that they are interested in and a dedicated space in the classroom where they can just fall into the world of reading comfortably. These resources will help create a space for flexible learning and provide student agency in choosing a good-fit book to help build on fluency and comprehension. It will also provide a space to bring our class community together for group learning.

My students are special because they are eager to learn about the world around them.

They are creative and great story tellers and being able to explore different journeys through other genres will only enhance their own reading and writing. They work hard and my hope is to foster a reading culture that helps them become well-rounded learners.
