Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a class of 4th graders at a school servicing East Palo Alto. East Palo Alto is a systematically disadvantaged city in which many of its residents are low-income. Most of my students are people of color and English-language learners.

My students love to read and deserve a library full of books that they love.

My students have picked these books that they would like to have added to our class library. Building a love of reading is so important for young learners, so providing them with books that they enjoy will help them continue to love what they're reading and become stronger readers.

Thank you so much for helping bring more fun into our classroom.
