My 22 students come to our class full of ENERGY. They love to play, explore, and socialize.
These 5 and 6 year olds are always ready to experience something new.
Where adults would be cautious, they are risk takers who learn through experimentation, trials and errors.
For many of my students, this is their first experience in a classroom. I would like to create a classroom environment that will be comfortable and both inspire and encourage them to reach their highest potentials. I love sparking their interest while providing a balance to direct their boundless energy to the tasks at hand.
My Project
The new and colorful tractor seats and cube chairs are not just attractive, but practical in providing for individual, partner, and group work. These seats will provide for different dynamics while learning with partners and groups, especially when reading or conferencing with one another. Our current wobble chairs and balance balls have encouraged many of my students to come to school early so they have first choice in their seating and spots they will sit at. They will be a great addition to our growing collection of flexible seating. In addition to providing seating, the cube chairs can be transformed to tables for students to sit on the carpet and move around more easily. The cute and colorful carpet will replace a tired rug that has been used for over a decade. Who wouldn't want to be in a room and learn in a room that is so attractive?
