it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me give my 3rd-grade students diverse, age-appropriate books that will strengthen their reading skills and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Many of my students come from underserved communities and lack access to books at home, making our classroom library an essential tool in their education.
These books will be used for small group reading sessions to encourage collaboration, independent reading to build confidence, and read-aloud activities to spark class discussions and improve comprehension. They will provide opportunities to support struggling readers with accessible texts while challenging advanced learners with more complex stories.
