Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My preschool class consists of 4 year old preschool students who hold a very special place in my heart. My public school program includes 20 readiness students and special education students with a variety of learning abilities and needs. Many of my students come from single parent homes, families struggling from poverty and homes where English is a second language. It is my goal to provide the best learning environment and opportunities for my students and build strong connections with families.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to have hands on learning opportunities throughout their preschool experience. Many of these are consumable materials which I will use with them to create opportunities for ALL students over a long period of time! This will allow me to provide my diverse students with sensory experiences to help them learn, explore and be ready and regulated for learning. Many of my students have difficulty regulating their behavior and this will support them by providing calming opportunities. I am excited to support my littlest learners!
