About My Students

The individual submitting this project has consistently been an exceptional student, overcoming many obstacles. Captain of our girls' softball team, she is seen as a leader by her peers. She deserves to be recognized and rewarded for all of her accomplishments because she is my success story.

The gymnasium or the Physical Education Classroom should be considered as a classroom of learning. A crucial component of teaching is the ability to utilize visuals that will enhance any and every lesson. While demonstrations by the teacher are always beneficial, having a breakdown of a certain movement or skill projected on a huge screen for a class of 90 to see would be awesome! For example, a video that systematically breaks down the mechanics of pitching or the intricacies of a specific skill can be displayed to students while the teacher provides additional support. Visuals like exercise videos can be utilized to motivate students as they witness those close to their age engaged in vigorous exercises. This project truly sparked my interest since It will also allow me to assist a wider range of students in multiple classes. I teacher over 500 students weekly so this would be beneficial to increase fitness levels among the school.

"In almost every class that I have, the teachers use a smartboard or something that they could show videos. Sometimes I don't understand what the teacher is saying but when I see the video, it becomes more clear. I am the captain of the softball team and my coach tries to help me with my pitching. He even shows me pitching videos on his cell phone that could help me but it is too small to see. During physical education class, my teacher tries to help all of us but there are a lot of people in my class, at least 100 and he doesn't have anything that could show videos. And I don't want my teacher doing more than he has to since he has stomach cancer. I care about him like a father and I want to help him the best way I can. If he had a projector that showed the exercises that we have to do or the skills that we have to learn it will help him a lot since he has A LOT of classes. He can't do the same exercise routine for every class, every day. It will be too much for my teacher to do.

In Their Own Words

My goal is to be the best student and softball player ever. In my classes, I work hard to make my coach proud because I know he believes in me. In softball, I work twice as hard because my coach believes that I can play for a great college in the future. He said if my grades are high and if I am great softball player, I can get a scholarship which means that they would pay for me to go to school and play softball. This project will help me and my classmates become successful and fit.

We will use the projector right away since it will helps us with our softball season. My classmates can also use this right away since it will help them during physical education classes. My teacher said he would like to play videos that provide a great exercise routines. He cannot do that routine for every class and everyday since that would make him really tired. This will help all of us become healthy and fit for the future. My students need a projector, a mount, and protective cage for physical education and softball lessons."
