This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love sports and they like to compete in order to be the best. We have a large Latino community that we all know love sports and like to participate with their kids. With lots of funding going down and working in a low-income community, our students and their families have a hard time accessing participating in a sport or going to the games with their kids. We want to help our students as much as possible, so they can have a better future. Family and sports are a big part of making leaders for the future generations because sports and family make good habits and teamwork. The traits they learn while participating in sports students, as well as their families, learn valuable lessons to succeed in life.
My Project
My students are very active and love participating in after school and sports activities. Having after school and sports activities can help keep kids off the streets and active. We are in a low-income neighborhood, so coming up with funds for uniforms is difficult.
Having new uniforms for both our soccer and basketball, students can feel good while playing and learning valuable life experiences.
Sports can contribute with good habits in a students' life. Just with a little motivation such as new jerseys, can bring more students to participate and learn teamwork and social skills. They can use those skills to be a more successful person in life.
