Looking Closely Is an Important Scientific Skill

Help me give my students this beautiful geode and exciting resin specimens to practice their science skill of looking closely!

My Project

My kindergarten students are the most excited, magical little beings who are so good at noticing and exploring the world around them. When it comes to science, we begin the school year practicing the most important scientific skill of observation. Being able to look closely at what you are studying and then drawing what you notice and see is the start of being a scientist.

I would love to get these incredible butterfly, flower, and seashore specimens, as well as this beautiful geode, for my students to practice looking closely at and then drawing them.

These will also make incredible resources to always have available in the STEM Lab area of our classroom to explore at any time.
