My Project

My students come from low economic backgrounds in the Carvers Bay area of South Carolina. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are improving their math skill since the pandemic.

Students will use manipulatives to strengthen their understanding of the number systems.

They will use problem solving, collaborative team work and inquiry to master skills.

I will number the balls with negative and positive numbers and students will use the money to purchase balls to solve the problems. Students will use the dice to create numbers by multiplication I have found that Teacher Pay Teachers has great resources that I can use with my students. As an AVID and Magnet school, having manipulatives activities and strategies for math support will be a tremendous help.
