My Project
My students are resilient, creative, curious, funny, and hard-working 3-5 year-olds who attend Pre-K at a Washington, DC public school. Our full-time classroom is part of an elementary school in a neighborhood where most students are considered to be at-risk, determined based on socioeconomic needs. Some of my students have been diagnosed with autism or other communication-related disabilities. Regardless of these labels, my students consistently prove what is possible with hard work and dedication.
As you can imagine, preschoolers grow fast!
Some of my students have outgrown their uniform items faster than their families have been able to replace them. I want my students to be as comfortable as possible while they are at school, and that means clothes that are the right size! The requested uniform items would be provided directly to those students to take home so they can wear them at school.
