My Students

My class is made up of 22 eager kindergarteners. They have a love of learning to read, write, and develop math skills. My students enjoy working with teachers and each other using books, manipulatives, and technology.

My students each have special talents that they bring to our classroom.

The students in my classroom come from a variety of cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. The students in my classroom love the opportunity to use technology, both computers and tablets. This is a hands on approach to practicing and learning skills to meet the rigorous demands of the curriculum. We want each of our students to have the opportunity to grow and become life long learners. Through hard work and practice, students become successful and happy learners.

My Project

Kindergartners have a wide range of skills and abilities. The academic expectations are high and rigorous. Having the use of iPad minis will allow my students to practice skills through interactive games and apps. The use of iPads will allow remediation and enrichment in a fun and exciting way. Students will be able to use the iPads throughout the day for various subject areas and skill practice. The apps available will allow for individual practice as well as partner activities.

The work in kindergarten lays the foundation for future learning.

The use of iPads will help to create enthusiastic learners. For some of my students school is the only place for them to access technology. Students will enjoy practicing and mastering skills by using the available games and interactive apps. By providing my students with a successful kindergarten experience they will begin the path towards becoming life long learners. I appreciate your time and interest in our project.
