My students need these 10 learning center activities in order to reinforce the skills taught in a fun and independent way.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students have diverse needs. In order to address those needs and differentiate instruction, I need to teach in small groups. The challenge is to keep students learning independently while I work with a small group.
My Project
Our school services the communities of Bell and Cudahy. Our school operates on a three track calendar. We need three tracks to accommodate a very transient student population of approximately 1650 students in Kindergarten through Eight grade. My class consists of 27 bright and enthusiastic Kindergartners. Ninety-nine percent of them are Hispanic and 100% of them qualify for free lunch. Two of them are mainstreamed from a special education classroom and six qualify for speech, behavior, and academic intervention.
We feel very special and unique because we are a Dual Language Class.
Dual Language allows me to teach academic subjects in Spanish and English. My students learn to communicate, read and write in both languages by the end of Kindergarten. Imagine that!
