My Students
Our school is a designated Title I school located on the south-side of Atlanta. I teach reading, language arts, and social studies to over fifty enthusiastic fourth and fifth graders. Many of my students come to school eager and ready to learn, while others need a little help getting motivated. We work as a team to help each student achieve his or her goals. A win for one is a win for all. We believe in success for each child, and we love to celebrate those successes!
My Project
Pencil sharpeners take a beating in an elementary school classroom. My pencil sharpener has served nearly 50 children well this year, but it has sharpened its last point. We need a new one to replace it.
Flexible seating has been a successful experience for my fourth and fifth graders this year.
We would like to add a wobble stool into the mix for students who need to wiggle a little to help them stay on task. The wobble stool will add yet another choice for flexible seating in our classroom, helping my students stay comfortable and focused throughout the day.
