I teach all subjects to students with learning differences. My students have challenges that impact their reading comprehension and fluency. Students range from the 2nd through 5th grade. Our school is within an urban at-risk community that faces many economic restrictions.
Although my students desire to overcome their reading challenges, they need the tools and learning center experiences to support their reading development and growth. Limited funding has made it extremely difficult to provide technology that will support academic achievement.
We need 1 Radius System and 1 audio/CD library set. The Radius System will provide auditory and visual stimulation to reinforce vocabulary, comprehension, and phonemic awareness. My students are engaged in the learning process through technological tools.
Your donation will make it possible for my students to meet the challenges of standardized testing mandated by No Child Left Behind. My students will also gain the opportunity to increase their reading comprehension and fluency skills.
